Harvest Supper - Quinton with Preston Deanery

On Sunday the 28th September 2014 St John the Baptist Quinton held its Harvest Service and Supper in the Church. The Church was resplendent with harvest decoration, produce and flowers and the day was made more special with the arrival of our guest of honour (photo: greeted at the door by Mike Crouch, Churchwarden) Livingstone Chenge. Livingstone is the Headteacher of Butonge Primary School, the school we support, and is in the UK with the group from our linked diocese of Bungoma. During the service Livingstone gave us an insight into life in Bungoma and especially of the children at the school.  He explained the fantastic difference it had made when we financially assisted him to bring electricity into the school and how that would now assist our next project of improving the water and sanitation.
