Benefice Away Day interviews
We had a lively and fruitful discussion at our benefice away day on the 5th of April, with many promising ideas and challenges to carry forwards.
Near the end of the day (with an animated discussion and wrap up going on) two of our Quinton church members, Alicia Holt and Anjana Austin, filmed interviews exploring some of the plans that arose from the day.
In the first interview, Alicia asks Julia about contributing to the local food bank and certificates of achievement for young members of the congregations.
In the next clip, Anjana asks Ivor about plans to encourage people who already contribute to the upkeep of the church through flower arranging and cleaning to attend a service of thanksgiving for their support. Next she asks about the children's football team. Freddy gets volunteered!
In the third clip, Freddy is interviewed by Alicia about taking church members to Hackleton Primary School for a tour, and about plans to offer an occasional bus service to take local people somewhere of interest for an afternoon out.
Finally, Anjana returns to ask about a new 11 a.m. service, maybe a 'messy church', and about an after-school club offering craft activities.
